Diana has been the Music Director of West Vancouver Presbyterian Church since November 2016. Diana is also the Choir Director of North Shore Children’s Voices (a boys and girls choir from ages 6 to 12 – new passionate singers are welcome). Diana’s past work experience includes the Music Director / Organist of Trinity Baptist Church from 2005 to January 2015. There she founded and conducted the Trinity Children’s Choir. In 2015 and 2016, Diana served as Organist at St. Stephens Anglican Church. Diana owns the Zlateva Academy of Music where she teaches piano, voice, organ and music theory.
Diana obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in piano pedagogy from the Academia of Music, Dance & Fine Arts in Bulgaria in 1992. Desiring to continue her studies, she went to the United States where she received a Certificate in Piano Performance from La Sierra University in California in 1999 and a Masters of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Redlands, California in 2002. In meeting her desire to conduct, Diana went, on a full scholarship, to the University of British Columbia where she received her Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting in 2007.
